What is Todoz?

Todoz™ is a powerful data management system that gives your business or group the tools you need to organize, share, and collaborate all of your information in one easy to use interface without any investment in hardware or software systems.

 

More then a web application, Todoz is a business class collaboration server. You can go out and spend 5 to 10 thousand dollars on hardware, operating system, and application server software, and still not get the power that you'll get with the Todoz application.

 

What browsers can I use for managing my website/data with Todoz?

Todoz uses some advance features in HTML, and requires the latest version of these browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (and 7 beta), Firefox 1.5+. Other browsers may work, but these three are guaranteed. Please note Internet Explorer 5.x is not supported.

 

What about my website users?

Your website visitors can use most any modern browser, depending on the level of HTML you use in your website.

 

Can I setup an SSL for my website hosted on Todoz?

Yes, your website hosted on the Todoz application can use an SSL certificate.. as a matter of fact, to use our shopping cart system, we require you to own one.

 

To migrate your current SSL or to purchase one, contact our sales staff once your account is setup and we will assist you in the process.

 

Can I host multiple websites in my Todoz account?

No, you are only permitted to host a single website for each Todoz account, however there are practically no limits to the number of webpages your website can have.

 

Can I point multiple website addresses to my Todoz hosted website?

Yes, You can also point all of your website URL's to your Todoz hosted website. For instance, if you own bobsfishmarket.com, bobsfishmarket.net, bobsfishmarket.org, and bobsmarket.com.. you can point them all to be defaulted to www.bobsfishmarket.com using the Todoz application.

 

Can I use FTP to upload data to my Todoz account?

No. FTP is a completely insecure means of file transfer – your username, password and the files themselves are sent “in the clear” and can be viewed and captured by anyone who is on the internet between you and the FTP server you’re connected to.

 

Instead, we offer SFTP (Secure FTP) access to account owners. SFTP is an entirely different protocol in which your username, password and files are transmitted over secure and encrypted channels. Almost all FTP clients also support the SFTP protocol (FTP on port 21 and SFTP on port 22), so you should have no problems connecting.

 

Can You Recommend an SFTP Program for My Desktop?

Filezilla and WinSCP (both Windows), Fugu & Cyberduck (both OS X) are popular and free. If you’d prefer the support of a commercial product, we recommend purchasing either WebDrive (Windows) or Transmit (OS X). Of course, SFTP is also freely available in all command line shells.

 

Can I track my usage with the Todoz application?

Yes, your usage can be checked at any time, by going to Todoz > Manage Data, and then going to the Usage Reports tab once logged into your Todoz account.

 

What data is used to calculate my usage?

The disk usage includes both file storages, as well as objects kept in the database. We also monitor your website traffic usage. You can check your usage at any time.

 

What redundancy does the todoz application/servers use?

Todoz is built on an enterprise class network, and is hosted on multiple redundant servers. Your data is stored securely on UNIX servers, and regular backups are performed of both the file system as well as the database.

 

On top of our redundant systems, You have full control of keeping data backups yourself. The Todoz application keeps deleted data as well as history of changes for every file and web object in your account, so you can export your data at any time and download them to your computer for personal backups. You can work with peace of mind knowing that at any time, you can restore data to a previous update anytime.

 

Can I upgrade my todoz account anytime?

Yes, you can upgrade your account anytime to start using the Enhanced or Custom features without starting over.

 

How much space do I get with my Todoz account?

Depending on the Plan your Todoz account is using, the amount of space that you begin with varies. We do not limit your usage, however as your account grows over the limit of your account has, we will bill you a curtain amount per GBs overage, averaged over the month.

 

The disk usage includes both file storages, as well as objects kept in the database. We also monitor your website traffic usage. You can check your usage at any time.

 

What about growing the amount of space my account uses?

With all accounts, you can grow the usage as you need, there is no limit for either plan when it comes to how many objects you store or what traffic you use.

 

We do, however, charge for overage as you grow.. so you only pay for what you use, and not a flat rate for every size of account.
